Thank you for your interest in our upcoming retreat in Tonbridge, Kent designed to offer therapists a rejuvenating, healing space to reconnect with their authentic selves.
Held in the hidden gem that is the Mountfield Retreat, this weekend invites you into deep self-exploration through altered states of consciousness (through Breathwork and Brainspotting), while staying closely connected with others in the group of up to ten participants.
Inspired by the 13th-century mystic Rumi’s poem The Guest House, we offer a compassionate and curious space to welcome whatever arises for you. We also create opportunities to meet the whole of yourself, including the interplay of your inner masculine and feminine energies, however they most naturally express through you.
To support this, we hold the space using David Grand’s Neuro-Experiential Model (NEM), which offers a grounded and person-centred flexible framework for safely holding whatever arises for you. Plus some wonderful integration activities including art, yoga, movement and gathering by the fire!
Arrival time: 4pm to 6pm Friday 17 October
Finishing: 5.30pm Sunday 19 October - check out by 6pm
Maximum: 10 participants
As therapists and healing professionals, we often walk alongside others through their darkness and their light. The work can be deeply meaningful yet also touching and at times extremely tough. Therapy may be one of the few professions where caring for ourselves isn’t just advisable, it’s central to being an ethical, attuned practitioner.
Perhaps you’re longing for a space where you can be held, tended to, and reconnected with what nourishes you.
This retreat is an invitation to pause. To ask yourself: What might show up if I took time to breathe, move, and meet myself again, gently, fully, without expectation?
Over the course of this weekend, you’ll be supported to explore your inner world through breathwork and Brainspotting, with space to land in your body through Reiki, yoga, meditation, unstructured art, and dance. You may find clarity. Or softness. Or something unexpected. Whatever arises, we’ll be here to walk alongside you.
“I attended a therapists’ retreat, and I could not have asked for a better experience. The facilitators were extremely knowledgeable, experienced, inclusive, and very heart-centred which made the entire retreat so valuable to me. The space was beautiful and peaceful, and I highly recommend the retreat overall. It was worth a trip over the ocean. I just wish I could do it more often.” (Cindy, North Carolina USA May 2025)
"It is clear that Eppie set out to deliver a retreat to provide therapists with a safe, secure and supportive place to be 100% authentic - and she achieved this in so many ways. The team were knowledgeable, personable, warm and caring. I would thoroughly recommend this to any therapist." (Kara, Bosham Retreat)
We have chosen Arcadian Kitchen to provide us with vegan nutritionally balanced food. Arcadian Kitchen is a chef-led meal service designed to nourish the body, mind and soul. They create vibrant, nutrient-dense meals using whole, seasonal ingredients that support healing, energy, and clarity, balancing macros, flavour and function.
And this isn't just a generic photo of food, this is taken by Jodie, the lead chef, of one of her creations.
When you come to a retreat, you’re bringing something so precious - yourself. All of you. The parts that shine, the parts that struggle, and the parts you might not yet have words for. You deserve a retreat leader who can hold all of that with care.
Whether we’re working with Brainspotting, breathwork, meditation, or movement, setting matters. A safe, attuned, and intentional space allows the nervous system to soften, curiosity to arise, and consciousness to expand. It’s not just the backdrop to the work; it’s part of the work itself.
I draw on over a decade of experience with Brainspotting, a first-class degree in person-centred counselling and private practice, and extensive training in breathwork and altered states of consciousness. I’ve led and supported many retreats and bring more than 20 years’ experience in health, social care, and group leadership.
What matters most to me is creating a space of safety, warmth, humour, and integrity, where you can explore at your own pace. I don’t promise everything will feel smooth—but I do promise to meet whatever arises with presence, curiosity, and compassion, so you know you are in safe hands.
Whether we’re working with Brainspotting, breathwork, meditation, or movement, setting matters.
Drawing on insights from neuroscience, somatic therapy, and traditional healing practices, we know that the environment in which altered states of consciousness are accessed can shape the depth, safety, and integration of the experience.
That’s why we’ve chosen the beautiful, well-appointed and elegant Mountfield Retreat, a space that invites you to feel held, open, and connected throughout your journey. For more photos of this beautiful environment, please request our brochure through the contact form.
